One of the consequences of Covid on poorer populations in my country has been an increase in teen pregnancies, cases of girls trading sex for resources like sanitary towels...I wonder if you have seen similar patterns in the regions you work? Do you have programs that address this? what strategies would you adopt to address these issues?
broadly speaking that is. i understand these issues are quite complex
In 2020, we organized the online training course in adolescent sexual and reproductive health Responding to the SRH needs of adolescents in the context of the COVID-19 crisis
this course fully supported by WHO and FP2020. 310 participants joined the course.
during the course, there was discussion forum. participants shared their local situation and experiences.
this is the way we understood the situation in different countries , especailly developing countries.
January-March 2021, we just finished an online training course: in adolescent sexual and reproductive health, Meeting the needs and fulfilling the rights of adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health for WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region.
the continuity of SRH information and service provision to adolescents in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
That's great. Thanks
The course files & videos are open access even the courses were finished. You are welcome to read them for your own development. WHO and their resource parties spent a lot of effort in producing all materials.

When you talked about training on Fistula and pregnancy. I have read these issues are especially related to FGM practices. What has been your experience with that in partner countries? Are there trainings on FGM in relation to sexual and reproductive health in terms of how trainees can handlesuch cases?(hope my question makes sense)
