I have felt a lot of peace in lockdown. Surprising. And unexpected. I feel centred in what I do, which has been cut down to working on the Covid 19 ITU and on our community farm. I am wondering if this is a spiritual gift from God, after listening to Alastair

Id just like to share that I had a life threatening brain haemorrhage before Christmas, but I didn't have the light at the end of the tunnel experience even though I was at the death end of ICU on a respirator and being treated for pneumonia. I did feel a very deep peace and feeling anchored. I write poetry too. My experience has helped me to reconnect to my inner self

I lecture in Creative Writing and have found that teaching Meditation with my Tibetan singing bowl has been an amazing experience and facilitates an opening of spirit amongst my writers. It is one of the most powerful tools and is much loved by my students. It is necessary to protect the space and have an atmosphere of total trust.

Alastair, your starting point was that “there is something”. But this year with events like the Australian fires, which recorded more than half a million death of animals, and the growth of global warming, we are up against the possibility of extinction of the word as we know it.

I also need to leave now...thanks Laura & Alastair for organising this reflective space. It's been life affirming, encouraging and inspiring. Thanks too for every person present in this 'zoom room' and for sharing your time if not your own thoughts, stories and questions. I'm very grateful. Thanks, Joe

I am really glad to have taken part. Something came to me following AH’s question. I seem to remember somewhere that whilst he hung on the cross, He descended into the depths of hell to intercede for us. I want to leave on that because I will have to go now
